Michelle Mannering
Developer Advocate at GitHub, Github

Known as the “Hackathon Queen” I work as a Developer Advocate for GitHub. Everyday I get to engage with the vibrant developer community. As part of the DevRel team, we’re here to listen to the community, understand them, and provide people with the tools and resources to succeed in open source. Coding and development aren’t always just about writing lines of code You’ll often find me talking about collaboration, good documentation, open source, and live coding. These things are important as it helps shape your product or service, as well as how people engage with them. In my ‘spare’ time I’m a streamer, journalist, and always working on something exciting. I’m also the recipient of the Pause Super Connector Award (2020 and 2021), DELL Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2019), DELL Social Media Influencer of the Year (2019), Telstra Business Woman of the Year Finalist (2019), Finalist Esports personality of the year (2018), and many more.
